She holds certifications in Laser Fundamentals, Laser Tattoo Removal, Laser Safety, Didactics, and hands-on training on the Lumenis LightSheer Infinity laser, and is a Cosmetic Laser Safety Officer. She graduated with honors when receiving her Associate of General Studies degree and has 135 credits towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.

Katie is the Medical Director for Lumae Studios Laser Hair Removal. She brings over 20 years of medical experience to aesthetic care. Katie began her career in 2004 as a CNA in a dermatology office, became a Registered Nurse in 2013 earning her Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Calgary, and completed her Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner through Frontier Nursing University. She most recently earned her PMHNP-C through Purdue Global. Her background includes Family Medicine, Urgent Care, and advanced aesthetics, with specialized training in laser hair removal, Fitzpatrick skin types, and laser technology. Katie prioritizes patient safety, education, and achieving beautiful aesthetic outcomes.
